You are very right. Research shows that a positive attitude is actually far more important to success than information, intelligence, and skill. Combined. With so many extraordinary challenges in our personal and professional lives going on simultaneously these days, it’s very easy to feel overwhelmed and negative. And, of course, in business, rejection is an unpleasant fact. What to do?

Focus your energy strictly on the things you can control: making your calls, follow-ups, preparation, research, etc. Don’t waste time or energy on the things beyond your control. As long as you feel in in charge, a few of your favorite expletives will serve to wash away disappointments.
