Tuesdays With Shanti's Dad

Sales Advice Column

He’s my go-to guy.
He knows how to sell (without selling).
Now, I share him with you.

Dear Shanti’s Dad,

With so much customer communication happening via email, what’s the best way to keep prospects/customers from “ghosting” you?

Amy Bobchek, Leesburg, VA

Dear Amy,

I consulted with my friend, Casper, on this one.

Since you’re getting ghosted electronically, it’s probably a good idea to go outside of that particular box and reach out retro.

Send a hand-written note via snail mail. Send a creative token gift by UPS/FedEx that reflects your company and/or their company. You’ll be surprised at how much this little bit of extra thoughtfulness means to a lot people and helps you stand out – in a positive way.

And by the way…if you have a specific ghosting challenge in mind, Shanti can put us in touch. I’ll focus in with you.

So, “Who ya gonna call?” Shanti’s Dad!

Regards,
Shanti’s Dad
